The Entrepreneurially Thinking podcast celebrates its 150th episode this November.
The Entrepreneurially Thinking podcast celebrates its 150th episode on November 27th. Winner of the inaugural Moonshot Collaboration award from LaunchCode, Entrepreneurially Thinking elevates and celebrates the entrepreneurial mindset through the stories of the women and men building companies in our region. The podcast has achieved nearly 40,000 plays and downloads and has a regular monthly audience of 1,500 listeners. In the last year, listenership has increased by 45% and more than 40% of the podcast’s audience in St. Louis.
Co-hosts Christy Maxfield and Dr. Cheryl Watkins-Moore started the show to highlight the stories of businesses and the people behind them – often those who go unrecognized and under-represented in the startup and innovation community.
“We know our listeners are dedicated to the show because it provides inspiration, particularly for women and entrepreneurs of color who don’t often see themselves in the start-up headlines,” Christy explains. Cheryl adds that “Christy and I know what it is like to be the “only” in a room. We are living our own entrepreneurial journeys, leading by example. And each episode gives us a chance to share the lessons we’ve learned coaching countless owners and founders on their own paths to build successful businesses. Our guests and listeners inspire us every day.”
The 150th episode features Keisha Mabry, speaker and author of heyFRIEND! New episodes of the podcast are released each Wednesday, and season 13 recording starts in January 2020. Each month media partner EQSTL features a show from the podcast’s extensive catalog. “The amazing thing about podcasts and our show, in particular is that the episodes are evergreen – the stories never get old. New listeners can and do discover older episodes all the time and can listen on their own schedule.”
